Greedy Bankers

According to Gordon Brown, the "days of the big bonuses" are over, yet even as taxpayers bail out the banking industry, the banks' executives are unable to break the habit of paying themselves massive bonuses.

This is an absolute disgrace.Ordinary people are seeing their savings nosedive and jobs are disappearing daily.

Its time to remind the all - but nationalised banks that it is the taxpayer who is keeping them afloat.

Also it should be up to the taxpayer to decide who should actually get a bonus, and in the presant climate, the answer would be "not a single one of them".

David Blanchflower who is a member of the Bank Of England's Monetery Policy Committee has claimed that interest rates should be cut to zero to help breath life into Britain's economy.

What about the poor old saver - you know Middle England who have worked hard and managed to save money for their retirement - its those people who are going to suffer if zero interests come into play.

It always seems to me that the responsible hardworking people of this country will bare the brunt of the mismanagement of the banking industry and our Government seems unable to control the situation.

Its a very serious and sad state of affairs and the Govenment should do everything in its power to protect the innocent victims of this whole mess.
